I am in the process of building a Tempest for lvl 65 FoC. It is currently at lvl 62 and I'm wondering what I should buff on my armor. I figured I could use the long range defense xeons to deal with all the rangers or I could use evasion to provide an overall boost in survivability. I will be using lvl 65 FoC Aceroa armor because it has decent health for what you can get and I think the mnd and skill crit can be useful. So I ran the numbers and I came up with this:
Base Defense + Divine Protection: 224 (Long and Short range)
Defense gained from +0 Aceroa set: 163
Total Defense in Aceroa set: 387 (Long and Short range)
Using IM Long Range Defense Xeons, assuming 7/7, I'd get 105 defense per piece x 6 = 630 Long Range Defense gained.
So the end numbers look like this:
Short Range Defense 387
Long Range Defense 1017
vs.
Base Evasion: 3577
Evasion gained from +0 Aceroa set: 744
Total Evasion in Aceroa set: 4321
Using IM Evasion Xeons, assuming 7/7, I'd get 700 evasion per piece x 6 = 4200 Long Range Defense gained.
So the end numbers look like this:
Evasion 8521
So which is better, 1k long range defense to deal with rangers or 8.5k evasion for overall boost in survivability?
